I finished my 5 day ride on Friday to help raise funds for the MS Society. I had an absolutely great time. Thank you to those who helped support me. Here are some links to photos taken during my ride.

Wow Poppers! That's a serious trek! What do you think of recumbent bikes? Also, just a curious question....can a trike go just as fast as a 2 wheel?

There were lots of recumbent bikes there, and they can go quite fast, plus they are safer. Wish I had one when I got in my bike accident on July 6th; I wouldn't have gotten the injury I did (I think I may have torn my rotatar cuff when my stirrups forced me to fall hard on my right side when a dog ambushed me and got under my front tire). They are more expensive, but you can ride them all day long without the kind of fatigue you get on a conventional bike. They do take some getting used to. As far as trikes go I'm not sure - I only saw one at my ride out of 882 riders.

Wow, what a good cause and wonderful adventure. I hope you recover from your injury fully. It is easy to get injured while riding a bike. I broke my leg in three places during a bike accident. I was 16.

Well done! Are you going to hang up your saddle or is there another adventure you might be temped to do?

I always wanted to get involved with fundraising events. Waited years till I finished fading - then my dreams came true :-)

    Great cause

I'm already looking forward to next year's TRAM (The Ride Across Minnesota). Hopefully, I'll have a true road bike for that one instead of the hybrid I used this year. I'm looking to pick up something at the end of the season when the old 2010 models go on sale.

Glad you had a good time Poppers. I can't imagine riding a bike that far on a bike. My butt hurts just thinking about it. What are recumbent bikes?
