Okay, What do JW Posers get from this site?

There was a person here years ago who claimed to be both an active JW and anointed but did not know who the "domestics" were in the NWT's rendering of Matthew 24:45

It's not that I don't understand why people on the internet might claim to be something they're not. I do. They get a level of recognition that is lacking in real life. Therefore it makes sense that a disaffected JW might claim to hold a position of authority and/or prestige in the JW community that is entirely fictitious.

My question is why do people pull that stunt here when:

    a. They will trip over a "Shibboleth" question much sooner here than at a private site for active JW's

    b. No one respects the claimed status anyway

I think some of them are just having fun. This forum is very sensitive, I guess in part because Jehovah's Witnesses are very sensitive. This is the next level, not just sensitive JWs, but sensitive XJWs. If your the type of person who likes to mess with people for fun, well this forum is a gold mine. I get the urge every now and then to let my inner troll rear its ugly head. Especially when my work is completed, and I've got another 15 minutes to go before punching out. Imagine the fun I'd have being home all day with access to JWN.

I'm here for the hot chick action. It is such fun to be able to say "hello" to a hot chick without having her expect you to marry her.

(waves) Hello, all you hot chicks out there!

...and the blood sausage sandwiches in the lobby! Who knew what secret herbs and spices could do?

    Interesting points, TD. Really interesting.

Why I am here? I am looking for good explanation of one issue which is important to me.

Yes, and I aslo like when we get new books and outlines even before they are printed. That's crazy!

My wife says, "They are apostates trying to make Jehovah's Witnesses look bad."

(Where "they" are people pretending to be JW elders but don't even understand JW beliefs on the resurrection.)

"They are apostates trying to make Jehovah's Witnesses look bad.""

That's so funny. I used to think that while I was in. Afraid of "apostates" with their literature telling lies. In the end for me, it was the actual WT literature that opened my eyes to the cult. Why lie when the truth will do? It's sad because if you view the JWs with a critical (nonWT controlled) eye, they just scream cult- they don't even really try to hide it anymore.

I thought they came on here for to get some time in.

"They are apostates trying to make Jehovah's Witnesses look bad."

Jehovah's Witnesses are already skilled in making themselves look bad. They don't need help from "apostates".

Why do they come here? Why do some people poke dogs with sticks, throw rocks at hornet nests, or scream out racial slurs in public?

They want attention. They are boring, insignificant people and negative attention is the only kind they are capable of generating.
