Familial relationships are weird. My husband can't stand his parents or his brother but he still goes to visit them and acts like everything's normal. But when we talk, he tells me about all of the horrific things they've done to him in his life that cause him to dislike them so much now. Personally, I don't know why he gives them the time of day but I guess, unlike JWs, he won't just write off his family. He feels an obligation to them.
I guess Heartbreaker's hubby is a little bit like mine.
