I received a Facebook message from his account today - Bas has passed away.
A lovely young man, who joined JWD after dating a Canadian ex-JW as a supportive person. Just wanted to pass on the news.
RIP, dearest Bas.

I don't have any details.
There was a posting on his Facebook 'to friends and acquaintances of Bas', and comments of grief from some friends. I do know that he recently (couple months ago) started a LTR and was very happy, and I am glad of that.
Take care folks, and let's remember to be kind to each other, even when, and especially when, we are practicing heated debate. Bas was a good example of that - he was never nasty, and had a cool, calm disposition. You just never know when it may be the last time you speak to someone ....
