Thank you all for your congratulations.
Sorry if I did not return your posts, but … we were busy celebrating for two full days, first with the family and finally with lots of friends, real ones, I mean!
Just to satisfy the curiosity of Asilentone, we have no family in the USA. They are all in Europe, but you never know with the genes, they can fall anywhere!
Thanks also to Rules & Regulations for the joke: really hilarious !

You both really make my heart rejoice.
We have a couple in a congregation who are together about the same time.
Once the sister gave a comment during WT - "the best thing that I got in my life is my husband"
That was wonderfull. It is such an ancouragement you see such people as you and you dear wife.

talking about people who have been married for a long time, I guess that, inspite of our long time record, we have to honor those who have gone a longer strentch together.
Yesterday evening I was chatting with Jim Penton, the author of "Apocalypse delayed", and as I was telling him about our celebration last week-end, I deared asking "what about you, Jim. how long have you both been married?", to my surprise he said ... 59 years !!!!
We still have to drive a long way to match them: 14 more years to go!
Lets cross our fingers.
