    Let's see...

(Keeping in mind that, by the time I turned 13, my parents' hypocrisy had rubbed off onto me...)

Did the "Hot Cars" drivearound in downtown Denver at midnight with a couple male non-JWs who either had parents in or were studying...

Rode my bicycle around downtown Denver at midnight - 2 A.M. with a couple other kids...

Wore fishnet stockings to the KH - at age 13 - 14... (Till an elder complained about it from the podium!)

Stayed out all night long with the same two male non-JWs - didn't hear a peep about it from either my parents or the elders...

Read pretty much anything I wanted to - books on geology, paleontology, "Armageddon Around the Corner" by William J. Whalen, National Geographic magazine, science books and science fiction...

Drag-raced another car on Colfax with full knowledge that there was a cop car behind us - then slowed down and let the other guy win... (Cops always go after the winner... )

Turned my parents' manipulation which was based on the WTBTS' methods, back upon them and used it to twist them around emotionally, for once...

Had LOTS of fun, and once I was OUT of the organization...

Took up bellydancing and married a WORLDLY guy...

    And REALLY started living!!

It was different for me as a "born in". I believed and followed as directed until I didn't believe. Then I drank, smoked, got high, got a girl friend and split.

The two worlds never crossed paths.

Was it similar for some of you other "born-ins" ?

Cigars, girls, strippers, gambling (poker, not at casinos), drunkeness, smoked cigarettes (since quit). Pretty much anything I wanted except stealing and drugs.

Oh, am i supposed to not still be going to meetings every now and then when I am doing those things? Oooops, I might get in trouble.

    1) Listening to Ozzy, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and Metallica

    2) Watching Rated R Movies (especially Arnold and Stallone movies)

    3) Went out of my way to greet DF'ed people

    4) Lip-Synched to the stupid songs at the Kingdom Hall

    5) Never turned in an accurate Field Service slip (heavily padded)

    6) Skipped lots of meetings for sporting events and concerts

    7) Had "worldly" best-buddies almost my entire life - my closest friends were seldom at the hall. The 2 that were both left - and remained like family to me, even though they were branded evil apostates.

    8) Owned several SMURFS

    9) Believed that E.T. was the messiah with his healing powers and ability to rise from the dead ( I digress!)

Well, I made love to my wife in a camper in the parking lot at an assembly, during the Sunday talk. Raced my 65 Impala over 180 mph..Chp intercepters, I won, but still had to go on the carpet with the elders. Shot pool for beers, another visit to elders. Talked to the shunned, studied with drug dealers. Loved to shoot guns, they hated that.

I played chess, read 30 Years a Watchtower Slave and masturbated. But, not all at the same time!

    I'm glad you clarified that!

I tred to be a good JW when I believed.

    Not anymore.

I've never shunned DF'd or DA'd people, including my brother. I even said "hi" to them at the KH and had someone tell me, "Oh, don't talk to them, they're DF." and I just play dumb about it. I knew. (Note: Easier to accomplish when you're blond, which I am.)

I always watched, read and listened to whatever I wanted. I bought my kids Harry Potter books and other childrens books about magic, fantasy and witches. I watched porn. I wrote porn. I wrote fiction about worldly people doing worldly (normal) things. I cuss when necessary. I lie when socially necessary. I did naughty fun things with my own husband in bed you're not supposed to do, but how is anyone supposed to find out, except by looking through your window or if you're dumb enough to confess?

I lied about reporting time because I felt pressured to put more down than I did to keep the elders and elderettes off my back. (I always wondered how valid the time reporting really is if other people exaggerate too?)

I got drunk, I smoked some weed, I didn't ram the WTS teaching down my kids throats when they got old enough to even understand it. I let them do holidays and birthdays at school.

Thank God I was such a lousy Witness. I suffered a lot of guilt for it, but I just couldn't do all that crap. Nice to be free of the guilt.
