That 15% I could save by switching to Geico is a reward I pay your competition for not clogging my TV with all those inane ads.

    Thank you.

I was with Geico and I regretted having to do with them. I called them to make an inquiry regarding a quote to see what it would cost me if I had put my step-son on the same policy as mine so it'll be cheaper for him to pay me the money so I can pay mine and his at the same time. Well, after I finished getting the quote from them. They went ahead and slapped my step-son on my policy and jacked up my premium without getting my ok first and not telling me that they were gonna do that until I was getting ready to pay my premium online, lo & behold there it was. I'm thinking..."What the????"

So I called them and the more I tried to get them to undo it, the more ticked off I got. They said they added him because he lives at my house and he could be "driving my car" when he had his own!!!! They told me the only way they could take him off the policy is one of these choices:

1.) Move out and show proof from a utility bill with a different address than my own

    2.) Cancel his driver's license.

So I hung up on them and my wife advised me to call her home insurance company and see if they have an auto policy and I did. Glad I dumped Geico and went with her insurance company. They're alot cheaper than Geico too.

    Man, what a rip off!

I LOVE the pothole ad. I laugh everytime I see it.

I too love that pothole ad..I brought it to my daughters attention and now we both laugh over it....

And Yizuman, insurance companies used to make you sign a waiver saying that you would not allow so and so or a teenager drive your car..they could have done that. Do you think maybe there was a mix up in the translation?

How do you communicate on the phone?

    Snoozy,

Who has been with American Family for longer than she can remember..
And yes I am probably paying too much

And yes I have had a problem with them in the past as I thought I had better coverage in the past but it seemed that hubby had called them and canceled certain coverage and they left it at that when it renewed. (Several times) Unfortunately I found out about it when I had someone uninsured smash into me.

But I feel like it is a good company.

I was using progressive, but switched to Geiko and saved 50%. I like their website better. I don't watch tv, so I don't care about advertising.

Just don't volunteer too much information with Geico like I did and they'll screw you good. Just sayin'.....
