I get a cold sore/fever blister under my nose of on my top lip almost everytime I get a cold. I think it is from the irritation of blowing my nose.

This time I am washing my snotty face frequently and putting vaseline on my lips and under my nose a lot.

I am anxious to see if it helps..if not I got some of that expensive fever blister med that cost $20. for a itty bitty tube..

It is supposed to get rid of them quicker, I read the instructions on the computer and it says it will cut the recovery/healing time by one day if you use it..

    I want a refund!

Snoozy, who feels like a leper..lol

    Snoozy,

Have you tried Herpecin-L? I seem to recall that it helped me, once.

Knock on wood....I've never had a cold sore in my life, although members of my family have.

I think you are either susceptible to them or you or not.

BTW, the article that purps posted above mentions "herpes zoster". Another name for that is. . ."shingles". I know you've heard of shingles.

I've had shingles, three times when going through terrible stress.....it is so painful.

I thought shingles was dormant in your body from having had chicken pox and then stress or a weakened immune system

    could cause a breakout.

Why does this thread remind me of an Elvis song?

    "Hunk of Burning Love..."

Seriously, this alone should keep one from having sex...but somehow our heads and our pants don't think in sync!

That is correct. Anyone who has ever had chicken pox can just spontaneously develop shingles.
