I love good comedy. I've never figured out what is sooooo funny about some comedians though. Certain audiences laugh their asses off at every vulgar word said and nearly fall on the floor.

I don't get it.

Comedy clubs are mostly places where semi-articulate people can inject "Fuck" into every sentence to mask their lack of sense of humor.

Audiences do find that word amusing!

Never understood how that works.

Richard Pryor broke the barrier. But, he was also pretty damned funny.

His was a time and place of breakthrough.

Those days are over.......yet......nasty language continues to be thought of as humor.

Well, just how much shock value can be retained after all these years?

Isn't it time to move on?

Comedy hasn't really come a long way at all.

Like Jazz....it has foundered and become a self-travesty.

I can't watch the Comedy Central channel because I don't find anything funny there.

Redneck humor, for example....

But, then--this topic is what makes you laugh and not what doesn't.

My kids are HILARIOUS! Especially when they don't know I am listening.

Me too. When my kids are together in another room and something really, really funny comes on or is said and I hear them from across the house.......cracks me up to tears!
