I wanted to follow up on the opportunity I had to speak to a group (although small) of church ladies here in Houston, Texas. I looked on JWfacts. com and copied several WT quotes about 1975, shunning, generation, and who will be saved-showcasing the WTS view that only those who acknowledge direction from "God's channel, the Faithful and Discreet Slave Class" will survive Armageddon.
The ladies were glad for the hand-outs, and asked several questions. All in all, it was a lively discussion. I told them that I was out of the judging business, and could openly discuss beliefs without thinking mine superior, as I used to. Particularly, I focused on the shunning aspect. I printed your comments, and read them. The ladies felt so bad the effects of shunning on so many.
I hope to speak to more groups such as this in the future, and thank you for all of your help. Your voices were heard!
