Yes, I knew of this. It was part of a distribution campaigne in Russia. It was an attempt to dispel the notion that the JWs are a destructive, extremist cult.

What caught my eye was ending with the paragraph below. Why can't she just see this is coming from their mouths if she supports this it's out of trust in them and taking their word for it! Why can't she look up what dangers, cults, extremists, etc. are. Then make a claim weither or not they are what they claim they are and are not! See both sides of the story. Not buy into even my word for it but the sources I provided for her!

Second, such words as “dangerous sect,” “enemies

of the nation,” and “extremist” have power

only as long as people fall under their spell, mindlessly

    accepting their malicious implications. The

tactics of innuendo and slander need not work on

    need not work on

    you.

We hope that you will make the effort to see

    through such empty talk

They thus reject all forms of violence.

....except in their homes and in the back room of the KH where they beat the children that they will reject as adults when they want the freedom to choose their own religious path.

What nonsense. The Israelis don't deserve a 'free pass' on whatever they do, simply because of the mass murder of the Holocaust. Jehovah's Witnesses don't deserve special consideration simply because they were falsely called spies and 'anti-Soviet' in the past.

Do most religious people think that their religion is the truth? Not really. Many people believe in universal salvation - or at least refrain from the presumption that God doesn't favor anyone but them. Witnesses are collectively arrogant and offensive.

Are they extremists? Do they demand and monitor critically ill people, at their most vunerable moments, to enforce their ban on blood transfusions? And on children, too? Do they endlessly pester you to take their magazines and join their religion or otherwise be slaughtered by their God?

Which brings us to point 3: Do they break up families? Emphatically, yes. They demand enforced shunning of anyone who rejects their religion and classify all non-Witness family members as condemned to death by Jehovah - unless they agree to join the Watchtower organization.

    Guilty as charged, your Honor.

    WT pamphlet: "

Do you know of any religion that does not

claim to be the true one? After all, why would people adhere

to a religion if they did not believe its tenets to be

true? Really, then, all religions are equally liable to the

    same charge.

Butterfly....I have to start with this one because it brings to mind two kids arguing saying "well he started it first!"

So if 'everybody else is doing it'...that means you are going to follow along and jump into the fire too?

If this is the reason WT claims to have the truth....because everybody claims to have the truth also and how are you going to get any suckers unless you make the claim also....then it's certainly rather telling about the real motive for their claims!

They have just lost their "exclusivity" by admitting this!

So now, they are going to say that if they are wrong for saying they are the only ones to have The Real Truth, then they are going to 'take down' the rest of the religions with them because others have made the same bogus claim!

The most satisfying aspect of reading this is that they are hanging themselves with their own rope of lies.

Strange how one's status in the org runs completely parallel with their moral character and intellect (in the eyes of its members).

In a country like the U.S. which is the land of religious freedom, people are accorded freedom of religion and freedom from being persecuted. But, what happens when a religion becomes a danger and a nuisance to the HOST country because of damaging policies???

This is the problem with how some can view JWs and certain other religions. When a country, like Russia for instance, sees JWs and how they treat their members (denying THEM rights, etc., keeping them in ignorance, breaking up families, no sense of loyalty to society), it forms a logical conclusion that the religion is an undesirable, ungrateful parasite.

So, this is a dilemma in any country for a religion that gets too big for its britches and has harmful policies. Unfortunately, the JW religion cannot have their cake and eat it too.

I am not surprised that they are 'persecuted'.
