I am not sure how a study can claim to be using a marijuana placebo. It would be fairly obvious to the user that the THC is not present from the lack of the high, hence invalidating the whole placebo concept and test results for some of the experiments.
An Australian test reported on last week involving over 3000 teenagers over a 7 year period did show a significantly higher incidence of mental illness in users. It seems that teenage use of M. is dangerous to the developing mind.

It's simple: Provide the subject with hemp instead of marijuana. Hemp is identical to marijuana, only it has almost no THC.

I agree 100%. Which is why it should be legalized. Ask any teen: Which is easier to get, alcohol or marijuana. They will all say that marijuana is easier to get. This is because the store clerk will card the teen where as an illegal drug dealer does not care who he's selling to.

Yes, but since THC is the active ingredient that causes the high, then it is going to be obvious to the user that they have the placebo, and hence by definition it is no longer going to be a placebo.
I do agree that Marijuana should be legalised. Netherlands is the perfect study into why it is better legal than illegal.
