No. Chocolate cake is much nicer. We had a chocolate cake at our wedding because neither of us like fruit cake - it went down really well with everyone.

Oh, yes there is an in between. It is strawberry. What a pretty color. My wife is a strawberry, both the hair on her head and the hair on her... well never mind.

yes bea - a fruitcake at wedding with icing & marzipan is traditional over here with a tier usually saved for the anniversary.

I hate fruitcake though so we went with chocolate.
