  Sorry to hear about your situation. I think your fiancé is being pulled back onto the treadmill by 3 factors : his sickness (which has brought to bear his mortality), recent world events (that seem to have jolted many inactive J.W. back to towing the line - you see they still believe it to be the TRUTH and therefore see the end in sight each time there is a substantial world event) and finally by his devout mom.

  Hard to say how this will work out. Are you prepared to wait ? Life goes by so quickly. Even if he pulls back do you want to live with this JW baggage.

  Get outta there, fast. Somebody's gotta take care of you, and that's gotta be you. Don't put your faith in romantic love with anyone.

  The guy you describe hasn't been, isn't being, honest with either himself or with you. You don't need this and attempting to stick it out will only prolong the agony.

  Take care of yourself. He's not going to. Momma's boy, motivated by mama-inspired guilt trips.

  Get yourself a man; preferably another Baptist.
