    Indeed. Thank you. That was exactly the point I was hoping somebody would make.

    And yet, there is not much (scientific) doubt that the ice-man from the alps was real, and how old he was, what he died from etc.

    It seems that religious relics carry almost as much blind stubborn belief as UFO fragments or the footprints of the Sasquatch. Even sometimes with the scientists themselves.

    People see Jesus on burnt toast and on rust stains on the aide of walls, some even see God in an organization that allows people to die due to a dietary restriction that even the people that CREATED the restriction don't !!

    No accountong for what some people WANT to believe in.

    I remember either reading or hearing a while back that it is thought the shroud might have been the burial cloth of one of the last Knights Templar that was executed. ?

    I never really believed it was Jesus' shroud anyway.
