Now that you're out of the JWs do you gamble? Occasionally or regularly? What's the most you've won? What's the most you've lost? Which games do you like?

I've never gambled at all. Not even a raffle ticket. One of these days I'll buy a lottery ticket I think.

I don't gamble at all. And not for any moral reason.

I'm no good at it and would just lose.

We won a cruise trip in a contest. Among other things, it included $500 in gambling money. Knowing it would be only about 3 hrs of fun we tried to cash it in. Only for ship credits we were told.

So, can you spend $500 at the Martini Bar in 7 days? Yes, you can!

I've gambled once in my life. I was waiting at the Reno NV airport and they had gambling machines all over the place.

I put $20 in one of those Black Jack machines and played a few rounds. I cashed out with $20.25

Updated... oh yeah and I do buy a lotto ticket from time to time as the mood strikes me.

I have a go on the Grand National (famous horse race in th UK) every year.

Apart form that, dont really dabble that much.

Yes we do the lotto every week - never one big...YET!!!

Been to Vegas twice, absolutely LOVED gambling there, mainly roulette, blackjack and the multi poker machines. Won well over $1000 on the last day of our vacation, but overall lost.

However, we view it as paying (and sometimes winning) for an evening of entertainment - and on the evenings we met up with Sweetpea and Besty they were spectacular nights of entertainment and friendship.

Back home in the UK I have no compulsion to gamble in a casino at all - why would you, after the glitz and glamour of Vegas?

It's not something I like per se.

There are a couple entertaining video slot machines we like, but as SAB mentions we see it as paying for an entertainment rather than as a way to make money. The gamble portion holds little interest.

Though I have kept track of wins and losses since we've lived in Vegas. We're currently up by $410.
