By only 1923, Orrell had managed to sufficiently distinguish himself amongst JWs to get invited to work at WatchTower world headquarters. There, Orrell quickly rose in the ranks all the way to "Bethel Servant" by only 1931-2. During that period, Orrell's living quarters were in the room adjacent to Judge Rutherford's private office. Bonnie Boyd and her mother were the only other persons who lived in that Seventh Floor complex of offices and apartments. Orrell related that Rutherford and he were "very" good friends, and occasional drinking buddies, in addition to their having an excellent working relationship.

Thanks, VM44, for this info. I kind of figured this Resolution was an "inside" job. :)

This places the Resolution immediately next door to JFR on the 7th floor of the 124 Columbia Heights building. I wonder if JFR wrote the Resolution himself or if some other legal minded person did (all the "whereas" and "therefore" phrases)?

Very interesting. I wonder, did he stay with the JWs until his death?
