My deepest condolences to you and your family.
I have given up the 'new system' WT view but am content to still see death as sleeping until a resurrection.
Losing the WT new system was sentimentally hard but quite easy when I re-read Revelation without WT blinders.
I even now allow myself the possibility of us having a 'soul' verus being a 'soul' and being kept safely in heaven until awoken.
.....maybe one day I will see death as a needed balancer with no afterlife but I am in no way emotionally ready for that opinion.....
