    1. Do you still believe in a God

On some other level, I suppose an emotional one, I still harbor the notion that there's going to be more to life than just this and then death. But on an intellectual level, no, I don't believe in a god.

    2. Have you joined another religion

What on earth would I do that for?

    3. Do you still believe in a bible or a Holy book?

    No.

    4. Are burned out on religion?

    Ayup.

    5. Do you trust others who talk about God, Jesus and religious stuff?

I believe that some of them are sincere. Andi, for example; SixOfNine and I had a long discussion, in person, with her and her boyfriend about faith and worship. To my mind, she's as sincere as they come. Then there are those who tell themselves that they are sincere and are just doing God's will, but right under the surface they are simply using a handy means to obtain selfish ends. And finally there are those who don't believe at all but deliberately exploit others' faith and gullibility for personal gain. Telling them apart is the trick. And, it's a pretty easy one.

    7. Do you believe in truth?

    Of course.

    8. Is truth absolute?

Truth is reality; the actual state of matters. Of course it's absolute. Our perception of it is not, filtered as it is through our senses and molded by our thinking patterns.

    9. Are ethics and morals absolute or relitive and arbratrary?

The question is too vague for me to give a meaningful answer.

Interesting Survey-- I am interested in your responses as well!
As for my story here goes:
1- Yes-- I didn't really have to struggle with that one with all the evidence there is for his existance.
2- I wouldn't exactly phrase it like that but yes, sort of. I didn't go looking for another religion I liked better or anything, I just studied the Bible to find out the truth and then found a church that teaches it.
3- I believe the Bible is the Word of God-- I also beleive that isn't a blind faith thing cause the proof is everywhere if you want to see it.
4- Religion--yes. Religion as us humans trying to tell God how to run things and who he is-- but no- I'm not burned out on God or worshipping and fellowshipping with other believers.
5- I trust that most are truly sincere and I believe in talking about and teaching God's word but I don't hold any person as absolute authority. Always take teachings to the Bible.
6- I worship privately in prayer, Bible study and singing and I also go to church to worship with other believers.
    7- Yes.
    8- Yes.
    9- Absolute.

There is more to by personal story than the answers to these questions but I hope these answers help in whatever you're looking to find out. If anyone is curious on details or actual proof I can be e-mailed :)

    1. Do you still believe in a God

Not so much - at least not one who is behind the 'bible' and other such 'holy' books. That stuff is purely man-made drivel.

    2. Have you joined another religion

    Hell no!

    3. Do you still believe in a bible or a Holy book?

    Ditto! ^

    4. Are burned out on religion?

You'd better beleive it (or my god will kill you!)

    5. Do you trust others who talk about God, Jesus and religious stuff?

Not really. Although I'm sure that many of them do truely beleive what they are saying.

    6. For you who still believe in a God is your worship corprate or private?

    N/A

    Reguarding other Teansindental Matters:
    7. Do you believe in truth?

    Define 'truth'.

    8. Is truth absolute?

    Define 'absolute'.

    9. Are ethics and morals absolute or relitive and arbratrary?

I'd have to lean towards "relitive and arbratrary" - they are basically set by society at large. Some things that are considered 'ethical' in this society are not so (or were not so) 'ethical' in others.

: 1. Do you still believe in a God

    No.

: 2. Have you joined another religion

No. I am, however, a somewhat disgruntled member of the Norwegian Humanists, but doubt I'll remain there.

: 3. Do you still believe in a bible or a Holy book?

    No.

: 4. Are burned out on religion?

Not really. I haven't encountered a religion that can give me anything, though.

: 5. Do you trust others who talk about God, Jesus and religious stuff?

I may trust them on the personal level, but anyone preaching to me will come in for an earful

: 6. For you who still believe in a God is your worship corprate or private?

    N/A

    : Reguarding other Teansindental Matters:
: 7. Do you believe in truth?

Hmm, not sure what you mean here. I believe in an objective reality, and that certain things are true about that reality.

    : 8. Is truth absolute?

Facts about the physical reality are absolute, but our knowledge about them are prone to error.

: 9. Are ethics and morals absolute or relitive and arbratrary?

Ethics is only valid in a context, and our context is humanity and our societies (social constructions). Ethics within that context are neither relative nor arbitrary.

    1. Do you still believe in a God

Yes but not in the same way.

    2. Have you joined another religion

I did but have left them all.

    3. Do you still believe in a bible or a Holy book?

Some of it is true but some of it has been tampered with.

    4. Are (you?) burned out on religion?

Yes I am done with religion at last.

    5. Do you trust others who talk about God, Jesus and religious stuff?

I think many are deluded through religion, but in non-religious matters I trust them no more or less than anyone else.. It depends what the subject is.

    6. For you who still believe in a God is your worship corprate or private?

Prayer is private and is said in the heart rather than words, but worship is show in the way we treat others, more than singing or praying in a church.

    7. Do you believe in truth?

    Yes very much so.

    8. Is truth absolute?

Yes but it may not be the same as our perception of reality.

    9. Are ethics and morals absolute or relitive and arbratrary?

All those things in a way. They are absolute but there is higher morality over some morals. This is where our conscience comes in.
