My wife and I (and my mother-in-law) are up here in Missouri - on a week-long vacation - and also to go to her sons' graduation ceremony this Friday evening.
While here, I let another poster of this forum who lives in Missouri know that we were going to be here, and we exchanged information.
Well, yesterday, we went to the local business where she works and surprised her...
Me - "Hi. I'm not buying anything, but can I talk to you anyway?"
Her (eyeballing me oddly) "sure."
Me - "It's me - JimTX."
Her - "Hi there!"
And so it went. Hugs for everyone.
crazyblondedeb (not sure I can use her real name - so won't - unless she sez it's okay) is an awesome lady. We weren't able to stay long - as we were passing through on our way to visit a friend of my wifes' who lived up the road.
If we are able to come back this way again - I will certainly try to schedule more time to visit and talk.
My wife and her mom think you're a really nice lady, too.
Thanks for taking the time from your busy day at work to humor a group of nutty people passing through.
Folks - if you're ever travelling - and want to do informal meet-ups - with folks on this forum - including myself - I would highly recommend it. I've met several other ex-jws this same way, and all of the ones that I've met are wonderful people - certainly not the crazed maniacs that the JWs lead us to believe. Just normal folks (well, except for me... heh heh).
