    Thats something.

A house up the street has been for sale for about 3 months.

I would venture my house has lost 50% of its value from the high.

But its probably still worth 60% more than I bought it for in 1981.

Most of the value of my home is the land and location to the beach and the Pinnelas trail.

We bought our current place two years ago. Based on other properties in the area, we'd lose about 20% of its value if we wanted to sell today. Fortunately, we don't see leaving here anytime soon.

My appraised vlaue has jumped 15% in the last two years. I'm under no illusion that It could possible sell it for that much though. This is on a house i paid slightly over 200K for in 06. 3500 Sq. Ft.

The housing market in that price range is pretty stable. One down the street from me just sold after being on the market for 6 months.

Starter homes, anything under 130K are taking a beating. Houston area.

I just got my appraisal from the city and they appraised it at about 5% less than last year.
