I'm just so appreciative of everyone's input.
I'm reading this online book, The Disciple Whom Jesus Loved, which presents compelling evidence that this was, indeed, Lazarus.
I've got to let the info gel for awhile, then re-read the Gospel of John again for the first time.

possible-san....You are doing well in learning English and I am sure that with each day that you use your English it will improve a little bit each day. I am afraid I don't know any Japanese and I am unable to understand your webpage.
