    DARWIN WAS A THEIST

So what does that have to do with the price of eggs?

He wrote a letter to Henry Ridley saying that his nook had nothing to do with theology.

Laer in life, he said he was an agnostic

Mr. Darwin was a good open minded person just looking for truth. The more he learned, the more he let go of the fantasy of "god" especially bible god.

When being asked about atheism -

"I think that generally (and more and more as I grow older), but not always, that an Agnostic would be a more correct description of my state of mind." -- Charles Darwin 1879

He never outright oppsed religion out of fear for how his family would be treated, and out of consideration for his Christian wife.

I just stumbled on some of Chucky's writings , Studies in the Scriptures, Vol 6 where he believes in evolution.

He thought God was in control of it.

Didn't Darwin just write about evolution (how we changed from cells to what we are today), not how we got here in the first place?

I'm not sure what he thought about God, but it doesn't matter in any case. Evolution and theism are not mutually exclusive. You can accept one, both, or neither.
