I used to make yoghurt.
I used to make beer.
But I could never make good yoghurt or beer, so I gave it up.
I have great respect for anyone who can make either that they are happy with.
Cheers

I learned how to make yogurt too at Bethel in early 70s. I never like yogurt till then. The stuff at the store can't compare. It was the best, the milk brought in from the Farm. I learned from my roommate. To my knowledge she is still there at Bethel.
One nice thing: Once one person posts the directions online, no one else will ever have to go to Beth Hell just to get yogurt. And, in case anyone thinks yogurt has to have that nasty taste, I recommend trying Stonyfield Farm yogurt. That stuff is not sour, like regular yogurt is. As a bonus, it is organic.
At least you were able to take something useful with you from Bethel.
Yesterday I check a book out at the library on how to make your own dairy products call "The Home Creamery" by Kathey Farrell-Kingsley. It tells you how to make cream cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese and other dairy products.
Thanks, Friends, for all the great replies. Off and running but had to say hello, thanks and have a wonderful day!
Love,
CoCo
Do you have the recipe they used to turn dead bethelites into glue for binding books?
(That's what the bethel tour guild told me they did!)
I smell a WT University cookbook in the making.
Guys:
Don't give me ideas!
Thanks,
CoCo
I always knew that one could get a first-rate College education from 4 years at Bethel!

Hey Farkel:
Pity is I didn't complete my 4 years. What I coulda learned had I endured to the end at the House of Hurtfulness (please see Matthew 24:14).
Muchas gracias,
