Is it possible for the Pittsburgh Steelers...

I would have to agree with the columnist that there were some very egregious calls in last night's game. But all and all the game was one the best I have seen.

After Pittsbugh's 100 yard interception for a touchdown and Arizona's subsequent failure at the beginning of the third quarter I thought the game was over, but Arizona overcame the bad calls to make the game an instant classic.

Aside from a couple of touchy penalties, I don't see what the refs did wrong? Warner actually did fumble on the play, so why is everybody whining about it not being reviewed? Did they want the Cardinals offense to get another play they didn't deserve? The Steelers needed to make plays to win the game at the end, and they did.

Only whiners and losers complain about ref's calls.

Well with this much money on the line it's more than 'just a game.'

That's bullshit, and you know it.

Living in the Pittsburgh area, I am a Steelers fan of course. And I'm happy that they won. Other than the winning pass and catch by Ben and Santonio.........if the Steelers would have won any other way, it would not have been by their better playing but because of the Cardinals mistakes. The Cardinals played one hell of a game too!

I was rooting for the Cards, but I thought the officials were fine. There were a lot of penalities but the holding calls in particular were SO blantant that they had to be called. I see why that O-line only gave up a handful of sacks if they were getting away with that all year!

Warner clearly fumbled on that last play as the picture above shows. And, the author is compaining about the last personal foul on the Cards? Isn't that the one where the safety clobbered the holder? Uh, that's always going to get called.

I did think that Harrision should have been ejected for throwing that punch.

BTW - I guess Jesus wasn't really all that into Warner this time.

Overall, another great Super Bowl. We've had several this decade - sure beats the 80s & 90s where the games were blow-outs!

JIMMY PAGE- I agree with you that that final play by Warner should have been reviewed . It's criminal it wasn't. For those who doubt it SHOULD NOT have been reviewed answer me this then - how many championship games have you seen at the END of the game , end on a disputed non-call like that ? Not very many. True the lack of defense by Arizona and how crappy their containment was in stopping Rothlesburger and company also lost the game for them, true. But how much you wanna bet if Warner had 6 more seconds and retained possession for a final play that Fitzgerald might have just made a leaping 45 yard TD reception to win the game 29-27 ? But were they given that opportunity - no. If that was a fumble by Warner - then I'm bat ass blind. It was obviously a forward pass with his arm in motion. I see your point Jimmy- well taken

Well, fumble or not, the coaches will tell you that it should never come down to one play like that.

Sure, if they had reviewed it and overturned it, it could have led to a Warner/Fitzgerald Hail Mary Miracle. But then people would be crying that the Steelers were robbed.

If the Steelers hadn't held in the end zone...different outcome. If the Cards hadn't committed so many personal fouls...different outcome. If Warner hadn't thrown the INT that led to the 100 yd TD return... different outcome.

In the end, both teams actually deserved to win, but only one team can win.

I'm just glad that there have been a couple of good Super Bowls to watch the last couple of years. It had gotten so pathetic for awhile that it was almost embarrasing to call anything associated with the game "super".

UNDERCOVER- I agree that Arizona actually lost the game earlier by the blunder of Warner on the long interception as well as their awful defensive inability to stop Pittsburgh and Rothlesburger on the final winning drive. Too many mistakes and penalties as well. I just hated seeing that game end that way on a non-call. But very true, a great Super Bowl 2 years in a row now. Keep em' coming
