I realize the delicious irony of a guy who was a gay-bashing preacher ending up in a homosexual affair, I guess I'm a softie because I felt sorry for the guy.

I hate hypocrites and I feel he got mostly what he deserved, in that I feel it was fine for him to get kicked out of his church. However I feel their ridiculous addendums to him leaving his church were not only unnecessary but I feel they were uncalled for as well. He is 51 years old and all he has ever been is a preacher, so firstly they made him leave his home which he owned. Then on top of that they stated he could never preach again. So they took his home and his means of support.

If he's a hypocrite that's fine, don't go see him preach. I think it's a bit of an overkill to do what they did. Let him live in his home, let him make money the only way he knows how. He could become a preacher who accepts homosexuals in his church. I'm SHOCKED he didn't sue the church for millions for what they made him do.

I feel for him as well. He did the worst thing you could do and lie to yourself.

He loved others in the worst way. What they have done to him is hard to swallow. He is probably on his knees praying right now. I hope for his sake that someone reaches around out for him. His critics seem to have forgotten "Do unto others what you would have them do unto you"

I could go on but I think it is clear that Ted got the dirty end of the stick.
