Thought I would revive this thread so folks can be familiar with some of the Temple Ceremonies since Former Mormon made announcement of this ritual possibly being shown on "Big Love" tv.

Ahhh the "good old days".
They changed this in 2005. Now the victim wears garments under the shield. Too much liability with the Catholic priest thing going on at the time.
Do they warm hands? I don't remember, honestly. I was so freaked out and feeling vulnerable, I was off my game. Plus that was 24 years ago. I did go back and do some proxy washing and annointings later. I guess I was still trying to find that spiritual nirvana everyone assured me I was missing.
