Is this DB run by a Jehovah's Witness?

1 What is your history Simon?

2 Are you a baptized and non disfellowshiped brother?

3 Have you avoided DF:ing, and now avoid JW's and meetings?

Hey Jonny. Some information about Simon is found in the introductions thread. His wife Angharad provides some information there as well. http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=1610&site=3

Its nice to know that you don't judge people, Jonny. We won't judge you either. You're in a strange spot right now. Lots of questions with no where to go for the answers. I hope you stick around. It will all make sense in good time. http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/forum/thread.asp?id=1610&site=3

In all honesty Jonny, what you will find here are many intelligent, knowlegable, and informed Witnesses who have the same questions as you, who have stepped back for the time being, many are inactive. But being inactive, having concerns, and taking some time to examine things and see where they are going is not a crime, is it jonny?

What it really comes down to is that no one here will judge you. Our personal details really don't matter if honest and open discussion is what you really want. By focusing on details and whatever "titles" and status we hold, you really are missing the big and important picture. And the only reason why people ever care about status and titles and position is simply to judge others. I hope you can live up to your own ideals.

Relax and have have a nice time Jonny. We're glad you're here.

Jonny, are you still trying to find a home? LOL ... you better watch your step over at WOL ... their about to boot you off [if they haven't already] you see that is a CLEAN site, they do NOT tolerate questions in regards to the JW world. It's pretty much 'cut and dry.'

    Hey y'all,

When I first discovered the web, ended up at WOL & silver fox. Signed up - then read some.

Anal retentive would be a good description of that type of spirituality - imho. Glad I found this place. I got enough judgement attitude for 30 years in KH's. Wasn't looking to be judged - just a place to talk & ask & think.

Oh, and joke some. That helps.

I think there is a world market for maybe five computers. Thomas Watson (1943)

I don't know what ya'll are talkin' bout. WOL is a great place to ask many deep questions:

    What's under your bed? http://www.witnessesonline.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/000171.html

What does your toilet look like? http://www.witnessesonline.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/000380.html

What's your favorite part of your house?

Waiting - there you go quoting people again, acually, what Watson said was "a world market for maybe five computers in every household." (he he I made that up.) now I am going to give you another historical tidbit, a true fact, free for nothing. Tom Watson once worked for John Patterson who founded National Cash Register Co. (NCR) Watson was the eastern regional sales manager for NCR. Patterson fired him and Watson got even by starting IBM.
Another tidibit: both Martin Sheen's and Irma Baumback's fathers were factory workers at NCR. I'm a plencenta, excuse me, a plethora of imformation.
Since you are using Freudian terms let tell you before you tell me. I'm anal expulsive, not anal retentive.

Not sure, but wasn't it Freud who said there were no accidents?

    Hey Kristen,

In answer to the deep question: What's Under Your Bed?

Well since it is true from dust you are and to dust you will return, then there are people either coming or going under there. - Kaloho

Best deep thought - my vote.

    I have been properly chastized.

There are probably a few people asking these questions, so briefly:

1 What is your history Simon?

The links that Path gave you probably cover this one

2 Are you a baptized and non disfellowshiped brother?

    Yes to both

3 Have you avoided DF:ing, and now avoid JW's and meetings?

I haven't 'avoided' it as such...I haven't done anything according to the bible that requires it. I don't avoid JW's or meetings but have been the subject of a lot of malicious gossip which mean I don't go as much as I did.
