Beks, you have good taste in music! I love all those groups you listed.
Disco had a different beat than Funk and it had those awful violins in the background. Funk predated disco and continued on through disco and was played along side it.
Funk was all the groups you mentioned and The Commodores, KC and the Sunshine Band.

No, although I will admit I learned to dance "The Hustle" pretty well, but then I only did that to pick up loose women.
Other than that, if I ever hear another Bee Gees song in this life, I swear I will turn into a serial killer!
