1994 was supposed to be when the generation that was born in 1914 turned 80, which supposedly marked the end of the human lifespan. As we all know, that is now 14 years out of date, about to turn 15 years out of date.
Of course, the Filthful and Disgraceful Slavebugger pulled that hope out from under the feet of the witlesses in 1995 by changing a "generation". And they added that it didn't mean that Armageddon was much later than was once thought--of course, they had to keep the perennial emergency going.
