Last Temptation of the Christ

The portrayal of Judas merely carrying out Jesus wish to be crucified makes so much sense when you consider the Biblical account, especially the Last Supper where Jesus tells Judas to get done what he has to quickly.

In "Christ" they both wanted the same thing and struggled with the best way to go about it. What a great way to illustrate the struggle between flesh and spirit we all face. Judas literally wanted to free the Jews first in a fleshly way, Jesus in a spiritual way.

However I keep coming back to Jesus rejection of the things of the world. It was a sort of non-attachment. Live in the moment for this is the Kingdom of God. What a great message.

Never have seen either of these movies. Looks like I'll be doin' a little renting. I love "Jesus of Nazareth" by the way.
