So I just wanted to see how much you guys pay for certain things - for comparison sake.

Bread: A loaf of white sliced bread = R 9.00 incl vat (tax)

2 litre coke: R 11.00

A kg of deboned roast lamb: R 80.00 per kg

A kg of chicken: R 25.00 a kg

Potatoes: 10 Kg potatoes for R 33.00

A homestyle baked cake: R 60.00

Milk - R 8 for a litre.

Thin flat 72cm TV - Sony - R 6 000.00 (lcd screen)

Decent underware - +/- R 100 - 350 for a lace panty and even more for a bra.

Levi jeans: R 600 up to the 1000s

Car: eg Mazda 2 - R 125 000

A 4 Bedroom home in a decent suburb: R 1 500 000 - R 9 000 000 - this is for a pretty basic home, perhaps with a pool.

Nice house 3 bedroom brick newish $230,000 - Bread $1;50 - Potatoes $3.99 4 Kilo - Bannanas $2.99 kilo Chicken Fillets skin off $9.50 a kilo .....a cars like the Nissan Tida are $19,990.

home, 4 bed around 1 mill in my area minimum, or 4 blocks away on the h20 around 5 mill min

A kg of chicken: Breast meat: $10-12/kg, Legs/Thighs $5-6/kg

Potatoes: Russets: 10lbs - $4-5; Nuggets: 5lbs - $6-7

A homestyle baked cake: 8x10 carrot cake $10-12, Dairy Queen ice cream cake, large size $24

Milk - $4 for 4 litres

Thin flat 72cm TV - Sony - apx $900-1200

Decent underware - $5-20, bras $20-30.

Levi jeans: $30-50

Car: no clue; Dodge or Chrysler minivan $24-40,000 depending on options

A 4 Bedroom home in a decent suburb: $400-500,000 (basic home)

Milk 1 gallon $3.50

Bread 1 loaf sliced wheat $2.20

Eggs 18 extra large for $1.98

Idaho Potatoes 5 lb bag $6.00

Cake grocer bakery cake $10.00

Chicken Boneless Breasts $2.58 a pound

Car mine is a used Tahoe. We paid $25,000 with 12,000 miles on it.

House. Basic 3 bed 2 bath on a zero lot line $100,000. Nice brick 3/2 on 1/4 acre lot $175,000-$200,000. We have a 5000 sq ft 4 bed, 4 1/2 bath custom home on 1 acre in a gated community. We paid $400,000.
