The problem right now is there is to much credit ( money on paper, not real money ) money floating around, I don't see making more of it a solution to the problem.
I say end the practice of out sourcing jobs overseas. If you want to sell it here has to be assembled here.
I like the Ithaca Hour concept...
I agree too about outsourcing, companies like their gobal markets but much like the WTS, it's bread and butter are American and other 'Western' nations.

That falls right into line with the New System. It's part of the NWO and you can read more about the new way of exchange at
GJM....the Global Justice Movement
Economic reform: Barter, trade, ithaca hours, state issued vouchers for mandatory volunteerism.
It all sounds good on paper.
Is this how "God's Kingdom" works...or is this part of the deception of the "beast government"?
Que Sera Sera....
I think there needs to be a national currency as history proved in our early foundings.....
But I barter at least once a month at the farmer's market.
Self sufficiency is never a bad thing....
No.

Its a macro economy.... we do not live in isolation...if other countries all did that, we might have an even bigger economic problem.

the last major purchase I made at Walmart (before I quit making major ,..and most minor purchases there) was a TV ...assembled in Arkansas...from foreign made parts.
I was doing good getting a TV that had anything to do with American jobs... and customer service was in Arkansas too...
NO to the vouchers.. that last $600 stimulus check barely made a blip on the radar and boosted the National Debt...nothing like the bailouts of course...
INFRASTRUCTURE..... lots of projects "shovel ready" just waiting for funding... highways, bridges, light rail, utility work...all getting old...ticking time bombs like that bridge in MN.
that would create construction jobs that would then pump money into the economy....still costing the taxpayers..but at least it would be to build something beneficial instead of throwing money into the financial sector shredder...poof..

I agree. However, I wonder if you know that there are laws on barter? Also, if you have ever been licensed in a business and you go out of business and do not renew your license, the legal regulations enforce a stop and cease on you as far as ever being able to trade or barter the talent or goods you were previously licensed for.
Here is a short story of another instance.
Barters and trades of goods and services represent an increasingly significant percentage of our economy, especially since the advent of organized barter and trade exchanges. Artists barter their art all the time. Peter Max, to cite a high-profile example, was once involved in a dispute with the IRS over the amount of tax owed on art that he bartered. With these facts in mind, now is a good time to review the tax laws pertaining to barter and trade in the United States.
There is no freedom in barter and trade. There are still legal regulations and I don't think most people realize it. There will probably be a "crack down" on it as the economy worsens.
I agree with 5go. Vouchers are a short term solution and won't fix the problem. The greedy guys at the top have given this country away. They don't care about anyone but themselves that is why the "trickle down theory" doesn't work. The only thing that trickled down was when one of them had to relieve himself. How can you ever get out of debt if you can't make something that someone wants to buy so you will have money to pay your debts?
Vouchers and barters? Looks like we will still need lawyers in the New System.
Barter -- the trade of goods and services without the exchange of money -- is the oldest form of commerce. It can be a powerful marketing and financial tool for small law firms that are trying to establish and grow a client base and manage their cash flow more effectively.
In a direct barter trade, an attorney or law firm provides an agreed-upon amount of legal work to, say, a cleaning service in exchange for getting the firm's offices cleaned regularly. Both parties get a needed service without having to pay in cash.
While this sounds good in practice, Philip Goldberg, an attorney with the Goldberg Group in Northfield, Ill., cautions that "a lot of times, the person does not have what I want" or vice versa. That's why Goldberg joined the National Trade Association, a barter exchange in Niles, Ill. When using a barter exchange, it doesn't matter if the two parties' needs match. For example, an attorney can earn barter credits by doing legal work for one exchange member and can then spend those credits on the services offered by any other exchange member.
