- "1:45 Watchtower Summary"

I always hated those damn Watchtower Summaries. At least there's a little bit of variety at the KH with people commenting (including really stupid comments), but the Summary has about the same effect as actually READING the Watchtower. For me, it was the most boring part of any assembly, and I was almost always on the wrong page due to daydreaming.

An estimated 600 people from the area will come to York City Auditorium for a two day event focusing on developing Godly qualities.
Jehovah's Witnesses will host their annual assembly at the auditorium beginning Saturday, Nov. 29 at 9:40 a.m. The 2008 “Keep Conquering the Evil With the Good” Circuit Assembly is open to the public. Admission to the assembly is free and no collections will be taken.
The program will focus on how Christians can stand firm against anything that opposes worship to God. An assembly highlight will be a part especially designed for the public entitled, “All Evil Soon to End.” This part will take place on Sunday at 1:30 PM. Other program parts include, “Do Not Show Yourself Discouraged in the Day of Distress” and “Now Is the Season to Stay Awake!”
Witnesses who are associated with the area's congregations anticipate an excellent turnout for the event in view of the enthusiastic response to last year's assembly, which had the theme “Do All Things for God's Glory.” Witnesses also look forward to welcoming many non-Witnesses to the assembly. Witnesses believe that all who attend will benefit from the practical information presented.
Throughout the United States there will be numerous assemblies. Worldwide, there are nearly 7,000,000 Witnesses in over 101,000 congregations.

Assemblies run from September to the end of August when the new batch start up. To accommodate the schedules of the DOs (circuit assemblies especially), these are staggered over the weekends. Thus some congregations are scheduled the first weekend in September and others have theirs almost back to back with the district conventions.
