I stopped believing in a sky-daddy type god that will supernaturally appear to destroy the world and put the Watchtower Society of Jehovah's Witnesses in charge of everything in some New System of things. I can't imagine living in a world of JWs who all thought alike and acted the same. It really doesn't make sense.

The creative energy (God) has always worked through man to achieve perfect balance. As we evolve physically, intellectually, and spiritually, "paradise" will come. The story of Babel is interesting in that, to me, it shows that the perfect state of existence is in diversity and an acceptance of those differences. We are not meant to all think alike and look alike and act alike. We are still at the stage of development, however, where we are learning to appreciate and embrace our differences without prejudice.

There is stagnation when there are no differences. You need diversity to move forward and evolve. If we all thought alike, nobody would be protesting the ruination of our environment, or the genocide of whole populations, or fighting against terrorism that seeks to force an ideology on the world. When our attention is drawn to these types of matters, we seek to overcome and transform the wrong into the right and we progress for it...we evolve.

I believe that periodically, the human race faces extreme trials that put us on the verge of anihilation (Armageddons), and we have to overcome them through struggle, innovation, and extreme effort. We come out on the other end stronger and better for it. We may be facing one of those periods now.
