Is anyone left at Bethel who knew Judge Rutherford?

When I was at Bethel in the mid 70s there were a few that knew him. Brother Ford (can't remember his first name) had his old room up on the 7th floor of the 124 building. Actually, I think his room was just a part of JFR's quarters. I can remember a few others talk about the Judge. One, Don Datisman, spoke of when a newboy Bethelite didn't follow the elevator rule (use the stairs unless you are travelling more than 3 floors up or 5 floors down) and was dismissed from Bethel on the spot. Don thought that the Judge's punishment was too harsh.

Actually, most of the people who talked about the Judge at Bethel in the 70s were not too glowing about JFR. It was kind of like the Russian view of Stalin. Yes, he was our leader, but we're a bit embarrassed about his harsh rule and there's a lot we'd like to forget.
