Once an elder was talking about how, when we'd go out in field service, it was hard to find people at home. He said, "You know what the Society says about where they are? The Society says that if they're not home, they're somewhere else." And he nodded his head like he'd just dispensed the most profound wisdom he'd ever heard.
I literally laughed out loud. My mother reached over and smacked my hand. Given that I was 30 years old at that time, the little smack made me laugh even harder!
