It's all becoming so clear now. My wife will never leave the witnesses

My husband (not a JW) thought the same thing.........12 years later I accidently clicked on this site which was right below watchtower.org.

Everyone has their own time, their own limits......I hate this clampdown for the damage it does but somehow value it too since so many are calling it quits.

Your wife sounds like a 'no where else to go-er'...... not having a religious structure is like being thrown into lake and not knowing how to swim after being told by the WTS that sea monsters are lurking beneath waiting to gobble you up.... (later you learn it is the shallow section and sea monster went extinct a long time ago)..

Have yall talked about other religious affliations like non-denominations that allow ex-JWs to keep some of their more guarded beliefs?

Add me to the list. After some years now, it's not been a bad thing. I have many non JW friends and my wife fits in well with them when I get invited to their parties. And I fit in OK with the JW's she hangs around with. I have been a little surprised how my wife has adapted to associating closely with non JW's. Works for us.

I am sorry to hear that. The way I see it these people are hard wired and the switch in on wbts. You can try all the programmes in the world but cannot change the outcome. You can talk til you are blue in the face about all the false doctrine of the wbts it will do no good. You have to change the hard wire.Let me know when you have rewired to poor soul.
