I think that the story of Ananis and Sapphira is a warning to two specific existing "faith groups" that have been blessed by God in that they are given a wonderful opportunity to be a blessing to others...but they held back that blessing. "While it remained was it not your own? And after it was sold was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God."
Ananis is the WTBTS and Sapphira is the International House of Justice...imo

p.s. I guess one question to be answered is...will the WTBTS deny that they are "favored of Jehovah" ...
