Speaking of scholar...
Somehow I always thought that he was a "plant"...either someone just trying to keep the 607 debate alive and playing dumb or was playing it up for some laughs...no one could really be that clueless...
...but others seemed to know who he was and took him seriously. After awhile I just didn't find the humor in it anymore.

Good grief, I had forgotten Scholar and the 607BCE stuff.
"Celebrated Watchtower Scholars are more fixated on this date than the Scientologists are on Zenu, or the Adventists are on the day Saturday"....blah blah blah. Well after all the modern-day dates associated with it had failed miserably.

Big Tex, I can only speak for myself, I have had no problems. The first couple of days there were a lot of pop ups. I did not click on any of them, but closed them down. After hearing all this virus talk, I ran and scan, which found nothing. Since they went paid, there have been no pop ups either.
