I love Bernie Mac. He's very funny. His TV sitcom was great. I loved the way he always spoke to: "America," when speaking of his TV kids or wife, etc. How sad. He was only a few months older than me.

I was surprised to hear that as well. I wonder if his long standing sarcoidosis complicated the pneumonia? They had said he was getting better and was out of ICU. But I wonder if it was just that they recognized that he was actually not getting better and to let him go peacefully. He was a great performer. Rest in peace Bernie Mac. Chicago will miss you.
