a katydid has been sitting there on my screen door all day, since i woke up. Until just now when I touched it to see if it was alive.
How cool to be a bug and just sit in the same spot all day like its nothing?

Maybe it's molting? My kids used to collect the katydid shells off the trees and save them in boxes. Years later I will run across some box to find it full of katydid shells! Usually startles me a bit to find one of those old boxes. I ought to send them a box and tell them they left one of their treasures at home.
