Being a member of the internet generation, I'm probably not the right person to assess the impact of the world wide web, but still I think its effects are unparalleled in human history. From my own experience, I can confirm that the internet has contributed more to my decision to leave the WT than my five years at college. For the first time the flow of information is uncontrolled, for the first time people are taking it for granted that they can have access to a wide array of sources. Without doubt, this will lead to a further collapse of metanarratives, since they are based on a selection of information. I'm convinced the internet won't lead to degeneracy .
