I need to find someone who speaks Aramaic

    Got a project I'm working on and need to find someone who can record a few words in Aramaic.

    Any ideas?

    I believe it's a "dead" language. I don't think it's "spoken" anymore, thought there are a few experts on it. Try a University.

    Several dialects of Aramaic (especially "Syriac") are still spoken in the Middle East. Not long ago I overheard some on a children's playground... Check with "Chaldean" or "Assyrian" churches.

    As I remember, didn't Mel Gibson film The Passion of the Christ in Aramaic? Wasn't the film directed using Aramaic? If so, there had to be some method of teaching the actors how to speak in Aramaic. I'm sure that if you google "learning Aramaic" or "studying Aramaic," you will find some resources.
