I was told by jws that reading the Lord of the Rings was okay because humans did not practice magic. Quite a twisted viewpoint.

My witness wife threw out my LOTR set I had gotten in the 60's while I was at work. She said they were demonic this was 1974-75. What I could never figure out is why so many witnesses love the talking pig movie Babe.....that's not demonic?

It always interests me how a person that is not a police officer can come inside someone's house and go through their things - as something like that just wouldn't happen in my house. I would ask them to leave and make such a big stink about it, they would never even consider doing such a thing like that again.

I knew jws that put their CDs and DVDs in a locked cabinet. The elders would be so frustrated when they realized. I knew other jws that never left the elders alone in a room. My husband didn't believe elders did this until he became one and they started hunting people's stuff. He told them to stop and warned subsequent elders that he would not support hunting through people's stuff.
I house sat for an elder and his wife and it was shocking what I found in their videotapes. A person should be warned.

i had a whole library full of science and fantasy fiction and got rid of them when they gave talks back in the early '80's? i think it was about debasing music and books..........after i left the dubs i went into second hand book stores and bought some of my old favorites.........20 years later........and now my book cases are filled with whatever i want them to be filled with.

after reading stories like this, I love the fact that I will not not let any of them into my house.
I have told my wife that I will not hire any of them, even to clean my home!!!!
