Jw won't go beyond what is written and that includes the things written in the literature of the fateful and desecrate slave as per the WT this year. So they finally have put on higher footing their own writings. The bible may say x but its application is y so it means y just becaue their literature says so in spite off overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

In short: they will try but are not able to.

    back in the day....

we would learn a "chain" of about 30 to 50 key verses.... and that could get us past Trinity, hell, paradise earth, blood, politics, god's name etc. That was most of the stuff that would get challenged at a door.

Noted.. being able to navigate the basics could hook a person well enough to read and study the other publications about end times and the convoluted stuff that was distinctly WT in nature.

The last year or two I was around I started to notice that little kids could not do the basic drills (name the first 5 books of the bible, etc)... and most newer JW's couldnt run a chain to refute basic objections. Of course by that time the FS was watered down to shuffle and mumbe... we did not want to find people home.
