So I was sitting watching the Sunday night movie tonight which was "The Pursuit of Happyness" and I now cannot stop crying. I kid you not, I am typing this through tears.

Something about the movie struck such a chord within me. Memories of a time as a kid when I found my Dad crying in the middle of the night because of financial troubles. Memories of last year when I started and lost a business and a lot of money. Our situation was never that dire, but it felt like it at the time.

So now the movie ended half an hour ago and I am still sobbing. How silly am I?

This is not confined to ladies. I cried many times when reading a Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hoseini.

I also cried when our guinea pigs died

Emotion can very liberating and binding

Sometimes you need a good cry and it builds and it takes something like this to push you over the edge. Maybe I should watch it.

Thanks llbh - I actually read you psot last night and started crying all over again, so decided to switch off instead of reply.

LOL at Ninja - you are too funny man!

FHN - I really do think it was a case of loads of things building up and then this just pushing me over the edge - Suddenly everything that has made me sad in the last few months and more came out... Definitly watch this movie if you want a tearjerker!

I cried thru that movie too. Especially when they are locked up in the bathroom to spend the night. And Will starts crying. It broke me.

I cry thru movies all the time!

I always cry at that bit when Forrest Gump is talking to his Jenny in the grave. ....and when the cat/guinea pig/rabbit/mouse dies. I guess I am big girlie man.

sounds as though you are tired and overwhelmed. I hope life gets better for you so you don't feel so stressed.

The Pursuit of Happyness was quite a touching movie.

It made me appreciate the fact that sometimes we can never, ever truly understand what someone's going through in their life. We might see them every day, talk to them, work with them, but we never really know.

He worked sooooo hard! He definitely deserved that internship.
