  Why is China stockpiling weapons and spending billions upon billions on its own arms race?

  However, China is spending between $70 billion and $105 billion dollars a year on arms!

  I wonder how much the US is spending a year on arms. And I wonder how much of it actually is to promote the initiation of force, threat of force, or fraud and how much is to defend against those who would do the same.
