Generally speaking, if it's something that you enjoy doing, then you can't do it. If you enjoy chewing cocoa leaves, or anything else for that matter, then you can be sure that there is a Bible Principle (TM) that forbids it.

I was born & live in Peru, here you can go to any supermarket and buy little bags of coca leaves (very similar to the tea bags). You prepare a tea, good for the stomack, good for when you are tired. I always have a box of them in the kitchen. In the Andes the indians chew them... it is traditional, they work at so high altitudes and with so little food that they could not live without it.
