Words you didn't hear at last Sunday's 1st 1/2 hr public talk.

Interesting to note the words of the brother who gave the final 45 minute public talk in December 2007 at our khall. He expressed his happiness that it was the last one. I thought the audience would erupt in a HOORAH!

Fifteen minutes less blah blah blah on Sunday mornings.

What you didn't hear from the publishers last Sunday...

"Gee, I really miss the 45min talk"

    "I feel spiritually deprived"

"I haven't had enough spiritual food at the proper time"

Really, I would like to ask my "brothers" the question "How do you feel about having less public talk?"

How would they answer...... damned if you say either way. Like when Jesus asked the religious leaders of His day 'was John from God or men'... they couldn't answer. If they said God, then they would condemn themselves. If they said men, they would get da' beatin' of da' lives by the people. So they said 'I dunno"

If a dubby says he's happy that the talk got cut, then he admits that he hated them.

The good news is that it is 15 minutes less unimaginative crap. The bad news is that it means the talks are going to stay on The Track, precluding anything interesting. It also means 15 minutes more time for field circus or for associating with a bunch of stuck up idiots and witlesses. Either way, they will still find a way to waste it.

I wonder if they have cut out the negative introductions. I was listening to the CO bash all other religions for 15 minutes....not very encouraging to the few non-jws who might have come.

If they polled the JW's before making this change, they would find that
the number one request for a shorter meeting would be the TMS/Serv. Mtg..

I am for ANYTHING that shortens the indoctrination sessions, but the public
talk is the least indoctrinating of them all. How about shortening the WT
by 15 minutes and 5 paragraphs? How about abolishing the Service Meeting
or TMS altogether? Let's look at those assemblies and conventions.

Edited to add: This might be a future thread- Will they shorten the Sunday
meeting even more by shortening the WT study? Will they cram more congs.
into less halls this year? Do they need Sunday meetings to end quicker so
    more people will stop skipping?
